Rooted in Rhythm is a seasonal workshop series focused on reconnecting with the natural growing rhythms of Northeast Ohio through intentional gardening and plant relationships, blending the herbal and holistic spirit of Worts & Wards with practical, hands-on learning.
Workshop 1: Spring Crops & Seasonal Transitions — Growing Beyond the Mother’s Day Myth explores the realities of our region’s cool-season growing window, including what can be planted now, like lettuce, kale, radishes, and peas, how succession planting works, transitioning into summer crops, and ways to grow food even in small or urban spaces like patios and balconies.
Participants will also receive a QR code during the workshop with access to a free PDF guide, Let’s Get Growing: An Introduction to Growing Seasonal Food, a downloadable copy of the presentation, and the option to join Kelly’s mailing list for future seasonal gardening resources; printed materials will be minimal, so bringing a notebook is encouraged.
Note: This is a three-part workshop series. Each session has a separate registration and cost. The upcoming sessions will take place on May 8 from 6:30–8:00 PM ($30) and Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 12:00–2:00 PM ($55).
